Jumped broken tail light, now no brake lights?

I was given a fix it ticket for a driver's side tail light that I didn't know was out while the passenger side works fine. I checked the obvious and ended up jumping the passenger side bulb holders tail bulb's positive and negative over to the driver's side to get the driver's bulb to turn on when the passenger's gets power.

This works fine to get both tail lights to work but now my brake lights don't come on when I press the brake pedal, when both sides did just fine right before I put in the jumper wire.

Would anyone have any suggestions on how I can get my brake lights to work again? Or anyway to get both sides tails and brakes to work? I still don't know what's causing the original problem with the driver's side tail light.. I can only assume the cold weather and/or short in the wiring.

Here is where I jumped the bulb holder tray from the working passenger side to the non working driver side:

Of course that's the first thing I checked, though I rechecked just now and paid closed attention to 22 and 23 which should both be 5A fuses according to that chart. I had a 5A in 23 and 10A in 22 and just noticed corrosion in 23.. here's a pic:

23 is the driver's side tail, I believe.. I switched the fuses and will do a little more trial and error when it's not so cold out. Hopefully this is the problem but if not I'm still open to suggestions from my original post.
