    Pillar and Headliner Removal

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I've done some searching and can't seem to find a good straight forward answer for everything.

My main question is how do I remove these things, A, B, C pillars and headliner? Also, how do I remove the pillars without damaging or activating the airbags?

    Thanks!

I replaced the sunroof in my B6, which required removal of the headliner. It's actually a pretty big job, requiring removal of A, B, C, D pillars, seat belts, interior lights, grab handles, sun visors, and probably more things I'm not remembering right now. Just be careful and methodical, and take your time.

I think I used the Bentley manual to see how everything attached. Don't worry about the airbags. My B6 had them in the A pillar and in the B pillar and along the roof line (side curtain air bags). Just disconnect the battery to be safe, and work carefully around them.

I'm sure the B8 is pretty similar.
