Did they update the forge 007 piston? Mine uses the metsl round part of the piston to seal agains the metal part ofthe body. The ones on ecstunings website for the rebuild kit now has a rubber o ring in the middle of the sealing part.

YEAH- They changed the design a long while ago with the addition of the O-ring seal at the bottom of the piston....
I had the same "issue" when I rebuilt my valves last year.....
Per Forge the new piston will work in the older body.
FYI- the Forge service kit PN is FMCL007P and now costs $17...I paid $29 last year !!!!!!!! (figures)

How well is that oring on there? No fear of it going through the turbo?
There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.

Unless the oring gets cut and goes through the hole, I think it will be safe for the most part.
