Led bulbs for license plates

Just a heads up autozone sells error free led bulbs for 10 dollars a piece. I bought some because one went out.

They are brighter and look identical to my old led lights . I say great quality for the price

while we're on the subject, do the B8s already have LED plate lights? The B8.5's for sure have LED plate lights, so not sure why other vendors are offering "upgrades" for them.

are the replacement upgrades just brighter?

But why pay for $20 adapter plus the cost of OEM lights when you can buy an entire LED kit off eBay that is plug in play to convert the entire car for less than the adapter plus OEM lights?

Could you post up the part number for them? I would like to go after work and pick them up and know exactly what I'm looking to get. My 2014 has LED's but the above poster says these are brighter. I'll give them a shot in the parking lot even and if they work will just hang onto the OEM ones as I've done with my front signals and reverse lights, all of which are now LED's.

Our license plate lights are 37mm (assuming the S4 and S5 are the same). I just installed mine yesterday from autolumination and they're great! $5 per bulb plus $5 shipping and they are the same brightness as OEM

Just picked these up. They have different packaging that the other Sylvania LEDs but I'm hoping they're the same. Don't want a bulb warning. Gonna try them when I get out of work tonight or over the weekend.

Anyone have a pair of the factory license plate enclosures and bulbs that they would like to part with. Lost where i put mine when I bought LED ones. Now one of the LED lights don't work.

I used these sylvania style led's in my touareg. I don't know if it was a voltage issue or what but they ended up cooking the wiring. I ended up going back to factory bulbs etc.. =/ Good to see the S4 isn't having these issues.

^this! The OEMs provide a much cleaner spread than just replacing with LED bulbs.

I had an aftermarket LED license plate kit... they were way too bright - looked ridiculous. The fit was not great - water was getting into the lid. The resistors banged around in the lid making annoying noise. I threw them out and bought OEM... Well worth the buck.

I bought the Sylvania's and they work perfectly, LED light, just pop the bulbs in, no errors, you're done. So glad I didn't pay $50 for an overly bright aftermarket kit.

I popped into about 5 different stores(mixture of auto zone and advanced auto) before I finally found those in advanced auto parts. It was the last 2 they had. Just order them from amazon its the same price $10 each. I only went into the stores because I passed by them while I was working.
