Help with finding the perfect B5

I've been searching all day and can't seem to find the right B5 or even a similar b6.
I need your help to locate the perfect one, which will also be my first Audi.
The perfect B5/B6 is a 1.8T Avant/Wagon, black interior, preferably. Must be Manual transmission, Quattro, and absolutely no more than 140,000 miles, the less the better. Not trying to spend any more than $9500, again the less the better.
I really appreciate anyone that wants to help.

Yes I have discovered that what I'm wanting is rare, I've been searching a couple days now with little to no luck, but Oh my that is gorgeous. I'm willing to fly/drive for the right one.

Be patient. I saw a two black on black manual avants in the last 2 months. I would also wait till you find the right one and ONLY get a 2001.5. You want one that is a wideband. Also miles don't matter as much. I would place a wanted add in several places. If you are willing to spend that much coin, you might be able to prompt someone to sell a good tuned example.

Exterior color I'm not real picky on as long as it's in good condition. Why only 2001.5?

In my opinion as long as you get a facelift car (1999.5 or newer) then you're good.

You'll have a tough time finding a good one though. I have seen two high mileage B6 Avants recently on my local classifieds, one manual, one tip. And three B5 Avants, two of which were manual but kinda trashed, the tiptronic being the only nice one. Be patient though, and you'll find something...

I paid 4k for a 2001 with ur exact specs 2 months ago. It had oem body stuff rs4, s4, euro s4, coilover and exhaust. Rest basically stock. And was not silver(thank god)

Mine is India red. Best b5 color.

Their is a hibiscus avant in socal and the guy wants 5500. Can't remember mileage I'll look it up

B5 A4 Avants in 1.8t and manual in good condition are somewhat difficult to find. When they do come up, they are usually sold quickly.

Someone locally had an '01 Santorin 1.8t Avant Manual (w/ minor mods and 150,000 miles) for $6500. I think he sold it in a few weeks.


I was lucky to find mine with 99,500 miles.

For this money you might be able to find a B5 S4 avant in decent shape. I don't know if you are looking for something like that, but if you wait a little longer, I'm sure something will turn up. If I see anything, I'll point you to it. Its weird that B5 prices have gone down the drain lately, but avants seem to be the only ones sought after and that hold their value at least somewhat.

Yes not sure how serious he is but vrt and he's a engineer. At the same time he's got a 06a motor sitting with 40k original miles and a fresh build which I thinks the better option. He has the vr6 and alot of parts sitting so could go either way. Gonna go see the car this weekend we think

well...theres your problem. I scour craigslist and audizine/vwvortex classifieds sometimes for months before i find what im looking for. Dont expect one day of searching to yield promising results.

Not going to be an easy task. I had a very similar list of requirements. Mine was black exterior, black interior, avant, 5 speed, and 1.8t just came with the manual avant portion of it all. But long story short I drove over 6 hours, and ended up settling for something that wasn't as clean as I'd like and had more miles than I would've preferred, but in the end I was very happy with finally finding something after almost a full 12 months and I don't regret jumping on the opportunity and my car is slowly coming together so even the messy parts are getting taken car of

Long story short, its going to be a while if you are that particular, the avant part makes it the most unique
