Memory seats stopped working/possible related issues

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So the other day i was driving and i moved the seat to get something from under it. After that my memory seats stopped working. Pressing either 1 or 2 doesn't do anything, as does the set button. Im wondering whether i couldve accidentally disconnected something under the seat (looked and couldnt find anything)

Then today my radio stopped turning on when i start the car. The screen just shows audi multimedia and nothing comes on. It wasnt like this before so my initial thought is that something is wrong.

Lastly, after starting my car the last time i got a warning that my battery was low and that it would recharge once thr engine starts. Could these things be related?

If I were you I'd start by going to your local auto store [Autozone is fine] and have them test the battery for you. Its usually free. If your battery is low, it could potentially manifest with all of these symptoms. For reference, if you drive your car for 20 or 30 minutes and then press a memory seat button [with the engine still on] does it work?
I'm living for the day I can park something Italian inside of my house.

I had one wild summer on match.com. -some jackass

Usually the car is going to stop functions that are not needed to conserve what is left of the battery, you need a new one. Are you by chance an 09, and how many miles?

Its an 11 with 73xxx km.

Would the battery be under warranty?

Generally no, but they will pro rate it sometimes, unless you have a VCDS go to the dealer because it needs to be coded.

The battery has to be installed on the ECU by having it "coded" to your VIN number. Basically the battery has a code that has to be programmed onto the ECU. At least that's my understanding?

Okk in pretty sure its the batter as my convenience key doesnt work anymore either. Does this programming mean i cant go out and get a battary at canadian tire or something?

Edit: alot of good info here

The only question i have is..is it possible to do this coding with the carista app?

Not sure about carista some have had luck with non audi batteries and some have not its weird. Coded cars seem to have less electrical issues though.

Everything seems ok. The convenience entry came back. The radio comes on too bt still no memory seats. Im hoping the ecu just needs time to learn of the new battery

If the battery doesn't need to be coded in that's sweet and good to know.

Just an update, totally forgot. Memory seats didnt work after i changed the battery, took it to the dealership and they fixed it. Not sure how. No other problems with the battery.
