Unitronic carbon CAI has been out for a little while now. Has anyone purchased and installed it yet? I have some questions about it, so hopefully someone has it.

Exactly, "sold out". So that would lead me to believe that someone should have it installed by now.

The question I have with this intake is... where's the flex? For an intake system that is fully mounted (as opposed to the free hanging kind... for lack of better words), shouldn't the plumbing allow for some movement, like the factory solution (and APR and HG-M)?

It doesn't mount to the front of the car. This is why other intakes need a flex point, as the engine moves away from the induction scoop. This intake just sits below the induction scoop and is attached to the engine, so it will move with the engine.

But if it's mounted to the factory locations (minus the front frame, I assume), how does it move? I don't know where all the mount locations are but I know there's one behind the windshield washer reservoir (or in front of the battery). That's not going move with the engine.

Is it from the "proprietary rubber grommets" that allow for movement?

I would be nice to see a video of this thing in action - demonstrating the behavior.
