Cracked line by oil filter and coolant reservoir

Upon changing my injector o-rings and pintle caps, I noticed there was a line by my oil filter and coolant reservoir that was cracked and totally separated.

It's one of the lines that split off into 2...not sure where it goes but I have not noticed any difference in how the car performs. I'll get to it when I have some time, but I was wondering what this could be?

A picture as it just started snowing for your viewing pleasure :]

That looks lite the vacuum hose that goes to the right combi valve. Without it you will not have proper SAI. Is it hard or maliable ? If its broken, you can get away with just slipping a rubber vacuum hose Over the two ends. You can buy the hard emission hose at some parts stores to replace it. The line comes across the front right side of the intake manifold, and back to the drivers side combi valve. Right before the Combi valve there is a y there, it splits and one part goes to the right combi valve and one part goes to the left, valve. That looks like the connection area you need to look at. It's hard, like 3" of the line cracked off. I think that is the line you referring to. How could this affect my car? I haven't noticed any difference in idle/power/noises/etc. And thank you!

edit: Did some research and it doesn't have any ill affects.

yeah thats a vacuum line. There should be a T like connector that it plugs into in that same area.

ill effects...probably not. Maybe who knows. Either way, you now have a vacuum leak. The new emission hose is only like 3 dollars. Takes 10 minutes to fix. If you leave it un fixed, thats on you. When mine was broken, eventually a CEL came on for secondary air injection. I'm OCD about CEL's and had it fixed pretty quickly. just my .02.
spend the 3 dollars. take the 10 minutes. that's a cup of coffee at your local coffee shop.

Understood, I am gonna get to it, just not a priority at the moment since I have no tools/garage to work with now that it's snowing. The whole line cracked off, so I'm gonna have to remove some things to reach down there...makes me worried about what else could be cracked...

There isn't much down there to Crack except the thin line. I just had to replace mime after I broke it doing the valley pan gasket. You can just fish the new line next to the intake manifold. The only affects you will see is reduced emissions and maybe a CEL due to it not working. It turns on the hair dryer sounding air pump that sits under the front passenger side of the engine.read here: http://karmakanix.com/knowledgebase/...ection-system/
