Stabilisation Programme Fault keeps coming on

So the car was perfectly fine until i got towed last night (it's almost useless having a car in Chicago, you cant park anywhere 93% of the time)...i get it back from the impound lot and was driving home and instantly noticed how freaking crooked the steering wheel was, while i was driving straight. The "stabilisation programme fault: see manual" alert and light came on. Pulled over and turned off the ignition and turned it back on and pressed the ESP button....the SPF light went off, but came back on about 3 miles later.

Any way to resolve this issue without having to take it to the dealer? ....my front brakes & alignment feel completely f'd to me.

Did they tow the car with the rear wheels on the ground? Could be major damage, so I'd suggest you take it to the dealer or a knowledgeable indy and have everything checked out.

^^^this. If your car was towed off the street for being parked illegally, chances are they just used a regular tow and not a flat bed....or even dollies. I highly doubt you'll be able to go after the tow company since they will just say it's your fault for parking where you shouldn't have. You will have to take it to the dealer since an indie would likely f*** it up. From experience, I don't allow anyone to work on my car anymore that isn't a certified Audi tech that I know. Outside of the dealership I've never had a great experience. Every time I decide to give it another shot with someone else ends in disaster.

Assuming you are Quattro and how cold its been I would think the tow driver grabbed your car without even stepping out of his truck and drove away. That's a pure uneducated guess though. I don't know exactly where you are but I'll assume fletcher jones is your closest dealer. I haven't used their service department but their online sales team is awesome, I didn't buy from them however only because they didn't have what I wanted.
