    Just after I got my S4 in December, I received an email from Audi Customer Experience asking what my experience was like getting this car. I wrote back that I was very happy with the process and that the car was outstanding in every way. I said that it would have been a perfect buying experience had I had the choice in what media cable came with the car. I wrote that the car came with the old style 30 pin and that all my iDevices where now using the lightning connector and that having a choice in what cable came with the car would have made for a perfect buying experience.

    A couple days went by and then I received a generic email from "Nicole" at Audi Customer Experience where she said something about the part I ordered being shipped and to expect them in 7-10 business days.

    Just the other day, UPS shows up at my door with a package from Audi. In it, a lightning (Yellow Grommet MMI cable) and a Christmas Card from Nicole. In it she writes "Congratulations on your new Audi S4!, Enclosed is a gift for you! I hope this cable will help you".

    Way to keep it classy Audi.

    It's nice to see Audi taking care of it's customers. Small things like this really make the purchase and ownership that much better and exciting. Congrats!

    I think the yellow will only play audio. Red is video too. Might be wrong but anyway nice present. What happened that you had to get it back?

    Audi treats me like a fucking peasant.

    Bought brand-new on 12/31/14. Every service visit, I get stuck with a piece of shit loaner (not even a vehicle at the dealership but sent to rent-a-car and given piece of shit Chevy subcompact). Asked about changing the plug from a 30-pin to Lightning and promptly got told the price...mother-******s, I just spent $100K+ on cars with you (a month earlier I bought a 2015 Subaru Forester as a family car to go along with the fun car)!

    Wrote all that on my new customer survey and Nicole never sent me anything.

    probably why aoa denied my claim for partial/full reimbursement on a faulty t-stat that went out about 3months and 3k out of factory warranty! they spent all the money on friggin i pod cables derp.

    Damn...I should have done that! I just used the Bluetooth audio on my phone, so I guess it doesn't matter. That is awesome, though.

    I got a basket full of coffee, chocolate, and a coffee mug with my name on it from my dealer!

    Damn,
    You guys get personalized gifts from Audi or your dealer, I can't even get my so called SA rep at my local Audi dealer to return my calls.
    The only damn thing I get from them are emails on their so called car sales inviting me to make another purchase.
    Ohhh yeah all of the customer service I get from them after the purchase is just lip service.
    Next Audi I purchase will not be from them, I will take my money somewhere else.

    Lip service is good as long as it's down low.

    Well, a free cable that plays music and shows Album Art is better than no cable :). Nothing happened to the S4, its the way I wrote my first sentence. I got the S4 new back-in-December (not got it back from taking it in). Sorry about the confusion :)

    Just to clarify this is Audi of America, not my local dealer. Local dealer offered to sell me the cable for $80 (no thanks).

    I have no illusions about VAG and their customer service, was just surprised to see a nice gesture. Maybe it was coz it was Audi or coz it was the holiday season or this being a part that probably costs them nothing, they sent it out in an effort to improve their image. In any case, I was pleasantly surprised.

    I had a 2000 4-Door Golf Turbo that had the Mass Air Flow sensor go bad at 70,003 miles. VWoA had extended warranty on those MAFs to 70,000 miles. Guess what they told me when I took it in to the dealership to have it replaced. I'll give you a hint.....something about pissing in an upwards direction near a flagpole.

    When I was looking at an s4 that was at an AD here in the UK they told me they would give me the correct cable for my phone at no charge. I think it is just down to the sales assistant.

    I think this is great. When I bought my MK6 GTI, I got a keychain, "GTI Parking Only" license plate and a GTI ball cap in the mail from the factory. Nothing when I got my S4. Well, except for an awesome car lol. The sales guy at the dealer even promised me a free Audi shirt as swag, but never got it lol.
