    Name that sound

    Car started making this sound today. Sounds like a cricket. I'm thinking it's a turbo going out, but want others opinions. As you can see in the video it does it as a stop (rules out brakes, hub, etc) and is also not affected in a linear fashion to RPM.

    Sounds like it's coming from the interior to me. Like two pieces of metal rubbing from vibrations.

    Haha. I haven't paid much attention to the command center since I've had the car. The sound is definitely a squeal/squeak like a bearing. Not a rattle.

    It's the blower for your heater. Mine does that shit when the blower is cranked

    I'll have to turn the hvac off tomorrow when it starts doing that and see if it stops. Thanks guys.
