    Angry Boost Leak maybe?

I have a 2000 Audi S4 V6 2.7. When I step on the gas and get to around 4000rpm the car starts to choke and make a popping noise out of the exhaust. Then it goes into limp mode. I have replaced all of the turbo piping. So what else could be the problem? I replaced the MAF sensor with my buddies just to test if that was the problem, it wasn't. Any ideas?
    Thanks in Advance.

    Things done:
    Turbo Piping replaced
    All coils and spark plugs.

You need to check for fault codes with vagcom. If you throw any codes, it will help you diagnois your problem.

They're a few things you could do. From the looks of it you should

    1. Pressure test the boost system, fix any leaks.*
    2. Change out your spark plugs gap at .028
    3. Test for and replace any bad coils, or just replace all

Edit: Is the CEL on? Or throwing any codes

The CEL flashes when I step on the gas around 60mph and get to 4000RPM.

I have replaced all of the coils, and worked with the spark plugs.

Since the CEL is flashing it's saying you have a misfire.

So does the CEL flash or not?

If it flashes, it's indicating conditions that are dangerous for the catalytic converters. I.e. misfires.

What does "worked with the plugs" mean? Re-gap? That doesn't usually work well.

Check for codes, perform a boost leak test.

    The CEL does not flash.
    We changed the spark plugs.

I will do vagcom and get a boost leak test done.

    Thank you.

My money is on one of the ICMs or a coil. I had the exact issue a few weeks ago although I'm not stock. My CEL flashed when the misfire happened, but then will go to a steady CEL until it's reset. Not ideal, but when you get the CEL, go to your local auto parts store and have them read the codes, regardless of the OBD-II scanner, they should be able to tell you what cylinder(s) are affected.
