Talking DTC 1606 after new seat bottom. Help.

    Car 2000 a4 atw add 5 speed.

I installed a new seat bottom on the drivers side. Cut and soldered wires for head seat and air bag. I also had the front breaks and outer tie rod ends off trying to chase down a "cluck".

Im not worried about the cluck right now. I need to find out why the ABS light is on and the brake light is blinking.

Tryed to reset with vag-com but code comes right back. I have checked the ABS sensors and they apper to be good and not pushed in the far.

Could I have screwed something up under the set when soldiering the wires?

Never had code before doing the seat bottom & pulling front breaks off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good news is my drivers side heated seat works now.

So I took my ABS module apart to check the connections that commonly fail, turns out it has been rebuilt by module masters (had a sticker on the inside plus jumper wires) prior owner must have had it done. After that I checked the number seven fuse and it's good.

I checked the large fuse under the dash near the relays and it's blown. Will be gettin a replacement soon.
Hoping putting the new fuse in will solve the issue.

I got a felling its just gonna blow again.

    Will update once installed.

Fingers crossed its just your fuse. And it doesn't blow again. Possible you shorted it out when wiring seat? Did you disconnect power from battery when you were working?
