Q7 (Gas driven) towing capacity, precautions etc.

I'm planning to tow u-haul trailer's for the first time from my Q7 (Gas driven, 2015) and would be travelling around 800 miles. I wanted to check in case anyone has a previous experience and what all precautions I need to take for the journey. The trailers which I'm considering are:
    1. 5x10 Cargo Trailer Rental. This trailer has 230 cubic feet of space and the ability to load more than 1,500 lbs.[https://www.uhaul.com/Trailers/5x10-...ler-Rental/MV/ ]
    2. 6x12 Cargo Trailer Rental [https://www.uhaul.com/Trailers/6x12-...ler-Rental/RV/ ]. This trailer has the capacity to load nearly 2,500 lbs.

I do have a factory installed towing package but I don't have any hitch receiver installed yet. Also, I think the gas driven Q7 has 6,600-lb maximum towing capacity and a 660-lb tongue weight capacity but do correct me if I'm wrong! Also, I have no idea about the gas mileage but considering the highway with the trailer would be somewhat around 18 mpg.

Any assistance, knowledge sharing will be greatly appreciated!

I think getting 18mpg is optimistic. I would guess more like 12. I have the diesel now, but when I had gas it pulled my 1500lb boat no problem. You would forget it's back there sometimes it's so smooth. BTW diesel gets about 18 towing.

All Q7's with the factory hitch is rated at 6,600-lb maximum towing capacity.

As for gas mileage I would say between 12 to 15 is about right if you don't go through mountains.

    Thanks Clenz and zeroKiller698!
I was cautious a little bit but now I think 6500 lbs is a real number for Q7!
