    Serpentine belt help please

    Hey Guys,

So my drive belt snapped the other day. I checked all the pulleys and all the known components seem to be spinning freely (power steering, fan, AC, tensioner, alternator). However there is a smooth pulley right above the alternator that seems to have seized. I have looked at every diagram I can find about this engine and don't see this pulley on any of the diagrams. The previous owner added a supercharger and that pulley is spinning fine as well (sits above engine - above the power steering pulley).

Can you take a look and comment on what you think this is? In the photo the arrow points at the pulley in question. You can see the alternator pulley below it and the tensioner pulley up and to the right.

    Thanks,

Figured it out. It is the idler pulley that comes with the supercharger kit. Would explain why I couldn't find it on any diagrams.

Yeah I was about to say that. This 3.0 V6 subforum is pretty dead. You'll get better responses in the main b6 forum. Also, hows the supercharger kit holding up for you?
