Wow this looks so good. I had been considering doing this as well but I'm not sure I have the stomach for the amount of work required...but damn does it look incredible. Kudos to the body shop, they really did a fantastic job!

Overall, the front fender body work was less expensive and less of it. I thought about getting the RS3 fenders but....they are wider/different and cost $600 each, flat arches vs our "lip/indented" arches. If I went with RS3 fenders, I would've had fatter front fenders without the rears matching. The ground skirting is a bit different too, I would have to have body work done on the fenders to widen and "flatten" them out. In essence chasing body lines and body work around the car to make it match and "appear" correct. The easiest most cost effective route was just tweek the front fenders and massage the bumper a bit and be done.

I do prefer the arches without the indent on the RS3. but you are right, then the rears wouldn't match.

I don't know if it's possible, but if you could compile a parts list that would be awesome. If not, I understand.

Quick question.... did you use the paddle shifter extensions from the Golf R? After a quick search I couldn't find any to fit the S3.

Thanks. The previous owner got them off of Ebay...they come in black and silver.

Also, a lot of people have been asking/PM'ing me about what it cost to do the conversion. Bumper and all RS3 parts etc will run you about $3500-/+ Bodywork and paint $1800-/+
About the same price as going STAGE III. To me it was worth the cost, the car already had a head start performance wise from CButterK and just needed some help in the styling dept. I wanted an RS3 to begin with, and the front end is what turns the S3 into a mean looking S.O.B. !!!!

I had some contacts over in the EU and they helped get me the items I needed. It wasn't easy but worth it. Audi EU will NOT sell to any USA / N American dealers, customers or shops etc. I was told by multiple European AUDI dealers...SORRY, WE ARE UNABLE TO SELL TO ANYBODY IN NORTH AMERICA. Making the process to get my hands on the RS3 Front end even more difficult.

I'm very happy to have sold the S3 to A20V200. He took it from where I left off, and turned it into the head turner that it is today. My focus, when I purchased the car(1st one in Minnesota, purchased it sight unseen) was to maximize the performance to see how close it could come to my TT-RS. I'm glad A20V200 is enjoying the fruits of my labor... Good luck with the ESS car show. Hope you win!

Ordered the 034 rear subframe inserts....will get them in today and see how they tighten up the rear end...As stated, it does have that "dull feeling" when doing LC or hard acceleration. I also ordered the BFI engine and trans mounts to lock the drivetrain up and get rid of the slop.

Thanks for vote and compliment....If I were in the same boat...look for a used 15' S3. You will be one step ahead of the A3 < S3 IS38 plus the styling accents = F-bumper / skirts etc... .02

Installed the 034 RSFB..a must do. I've filled other engine/subframe mounts with poly on previous cars to make them solid and these mimic that without the hassle.

Decided to do "something" with the engine bay. The ONLY "pet peave" I have about our cars (A3/S3) is that the engine bay looks LAME.... IMHO....Nothing eye popping. Nothing to "oooh" or "ahhhh" about.

Got a couple things in the mail today. BFI Stage 1 Engine and Trans mounts. These should snug the rest of the driveline down.

Got some new stuff on the S3 in the last couple days thanks to PartsScore in Scottsdale...Also had them do some service related stuff vs. dealer...

ST XTA Coil Overs w/ Camber Plates
034 Rear Sway Bar
EuroCode Rear Adjustable End links
Laser 4 wheel Alignment w/ Roadforce Balance

Added GIAC VALET Mode - for obvious reasons
Replaced the cabin filter

Also VAGCOM "Coded" a couple things:

Eyebrows stays on while blinkers are flashing
Eyebrows stay FULL Brightness while HL are on
Soundaktor turned to 0...was unplugged

After a month on vacation...finally got around to installing the BFI stage 1 engine mount. Was super easy...30-40 minutes and makes a noticeable difference in the feel of the car. I have the BFI trans mount too, but installing them in stages so I can get a feel for what each one does in terms of vibration and or power transfer.



I also got the ECS turbo blanket...install was about the same 30 minutes or so. I've wrapped DP's etc., but never the turbo. The hardest part was getting at the back to do the safety wire wrap. ugh!!

Wow it's crazy to see the progress of this build... From what I can tell the US won't see the preface lift rs3 at all..... Now that I'm in the US :/ i need to get up to speed

Also a couple of months back when I was talking to the audi tech in Germany he told me the rs3 is on 3mm wider in the front than the A3/S3

Welcome back..its been a while. Yes, the RS3 bumper cover was wider but we massaged it into place by pulling the fenders out and other creative bodywork to pull it all together.
AFAIK..I am the only "RS3 converted" S3 in the USA.

Decided to go ahead and do the telescoping vent mod. While I was at it, I decided to make them "RS3 vents" as well. Took about 2 hours total with pulling and modding them. I think they came out great and adds the right amount color to the interior.






Also decided to redo the engine cover in the same red.

It's not an exact match, but close enough. Found it at my local auto parts store. Your blue will be harder to match. Any paint supply store "should be able to" color match your paint and put it into a spray can (lacquer based) and you should be good...of course you might have to buy a pint of paint to have them do this for you.

So I broke my left "fricking" arm while doing an Enduro Mtn Bike Race locally about a month ago. So I figured I would take care of some smaller items that I could do with 1 arm essentially. Did the RS3 red vents and mod in the previous post as well with 1 arm too....bored and needed something to do.



CF mud flaps in the same weave F/R - some others on here did it and thought it looked good and matches the rest of the CF. Thx for the idea
Finished up the front inner fender liner since the RS3 bumper is wider and there was a gap between the factory liner and the bumper.
