Picked up a barely used 2015 Audi S3 Premium Plus Monsoon Grey - about a month ago from another Audi enthusiast and good friend(CbutterK) He was looking to jump into a new BMW M3 and looking to get rid of his S3 and TT-RS (don't ask me?) that he had for the last year. He threw out a number too good to pass up!! ...4400 miles "brand new" basically and about $6K in mods/upgrades already done...

This is what was done to it when I got it...11/27/2015

Items I've done or will be done since having the car....this will serve as a compressed timeline.

GIAC Stg II - Carbon Mirrors - PURE Carbon Trunk Spoiler - Blacked Out Badges - BF Dogbone - Black Optics Window Trim - Blacked Out Roof - E-Code Headlights - RS3 Front Grill - ASA GT5 Wheels 19x9 w/MT Sport Comps 245/35/19 - Secret box stuff













New RS3 Grill
Black Optics window trim and roof wrapped in gloss black
Carbon Mirrors
And my secret box of parts that will be revealed in a couple weeks
Waiting on a couple more parts and this will almost be done...for the time being.

Had time to play in the snow this morning....but not enough fun....darn snow tires!!







Blacked Out the S3 badges and added some CF

Wheels are back and ready to go...unfortunately the winter El Nino weather has dumped a bit of snow on the ground so the winters will have to stay on for a couple more days. My E-Codes came in today...got the new wheels on to see what it looks like......DOPE!!!
If everything goes well, the IC, RS3 grill,E-codes and the items inside the secret box will get installed next week....hopefully!!!







Ha ha ha..yes update time.

Well I got 50% of what I wanted to do done.

Intercooler installed and E-codes and the "secret box" items put together but not installed. A little fab work needs to be done and it should be good to go in a week or 2. Wrapped the deck lid spoiler in Matte carbon just like the mirrors for fluidity.

Also, my resonator delete did not make it in because Audi Canada refused to ship it to the Audi USA..lame!!!

Waiting on the fab work....but when it gets done...it'll be really good!!!

Okay... I won't hold out on you anymore.....drumroll please.....I sourced them from Ebay.de and had R3_TDI ship them over for me. So yes, I did get BRAND NEW OEM E-code headlights for $650 shipped.

It's coming along so nicely! I was so sad to let the S3 go, but I could not have sold it to a better home! A20V200 is a TRUE AUDI guy, and bleeds AUDI silver, lol, and is a very good friend of mine. I knew he would take it to the next level from what I have done, and I'll get a chance to ride in it once in a while, so it was a no brainer for me to sell it to him! As for the TT-RS? Don't ask why I did it. I still have no clue... The 2016 M3 is a beast of a car, but I'm not falling in love with her like I did with the TT-RS or S3... Oh well. Hope to see this S3 soon when the "Secret box parts" gets installed and we hit the Drag strip! Another 11 second S3 in the making folks!!!

Its pretty easy people...go onto eBay.de or eBay.co.uk and search for S3 headlights 8V on either site and you will find them. Or , you can get a hold of R3_TDI here on Audizine, he's stated in other threads that he can get you E-codes for roughly the same price. He's a good guy and the shipping transaction went smoothly.

So no coding needed when you went to ecodes? It's so strange that the s3 headlights don't show bulb out without coding. Must be built in error canceling in the ecode housing.

Car looks great. Like the wheels a lot.

It actually sits good..I think I may need to throw a set of 3 or 5mm spacers to bring the front wheels out more towards the fender like the rear sits. I am planning on getting some coil overs in the near future.

Picked this up for a hell of deal the other day.... Magnaflow Exhaust system. Should add moar growl!!! No real power gains to be had vs stock....more for sound/tone.

Got the exhaust installed about a week and a half ago....and yes...I would agree with the previous owner...it was quite LOUD!! With the BullX DP and no cat and resonator it was basically a straight pipe till the back box. I went ahead and bought a Flowmaster resonator 3" IN/OUT and it sounds perfect....nice and deep and has the grunt I was looking for but quiet while at speed.
IE: Doesn't sound like a 4 banger anymore

This was a mock up session and will be official next week after some final tweaking is done.

Thanks for the kudos...I sourced everything from across the pond in Germany though some contacts I have.

R3_TDI (Lamar) for hooking me up on the E-codes and (Ales) was my go to guy to get the rest of the parts ordered and shipped.

Since I originally wanted an RS3....but will end up waiting for it for another couple of years...I thought I would build my own.

These are all OEM Audi RS3 bits with the exception of the Emmanual Designs RS3 grill. I had to do some modification to the grill to make it fit like OEM, but for the cost of a new RS3 Grill @ $950 Euro's...I made due with what I had. You can imagine what the rest of the parts cost to get this done. This is NOT a straight forward plug and play...although I was hoping it "might be". Wishful thinking on my part. There were a couple road blocks during this process. It isn't completed yet, but should be by this time next week. As this is the first RS3 front end in
N. America, I had no idea what to expect. The RS3 bumper is slightly wider and even the details down to the tow hook cover and headlight washers are just different enough that they had to be ordered as well. The final roadblock was matching the fenders to the bumper profile...so that is whats happening next week.

As I get closer to the final assembly next week I will post more pics and details.

You did get that for a steal! We're glad to hear you're happy with the sound on the new setup. The rest of this build is looking great too!

Here is what the RS3 bumper and S3 fender looked like after the first dry fit. A little gap and some trim lines needed to be tweaked.






Body work modifications update. Lots of things going on here.

Pulled fenders to meet the RS bumper
Skim coat of body filler to make it nice and smooth to match the body lines of the S3
Adding recessed fender trim line into the RS bumper to keep it looking like it left the Audi factory that way and keep the flow of the RS3/S3

Down the road I may do a wide body treatment on the fenders....but for right now, I just want to get the RS3 front end on that has been staring me down in
the garage for the last 2 months.

Well...that took a loooooooong time to get done at the body shop. 22 days to be exact!!!! They were trying to fit me in between collisions and other stuff as to keep the cost down....but DANG!!! Glad to finally have it back in my hands. Everything came out great...a couple details here and there, but overall happy with the look of the RS3 front end and the overall look of the car so far. Very menacing from the front

Yes you can.... It's 1 of 1 so.....?

As for the total cost..it wasn't cheap. I could've almost paid for a stage III upgrade if I was going that route. But I think stage II+ is plenty FAST. I really liked the RS3 front end and wanted that look....and I also have the POWER to back it up too.

From here it will be fine tuning what I already have....coil overs, sway bars, 2 piece rotors, a FORGED set of wheels....
