    Hi guys.

    I have a 2010 S4 with 75k on the clock.
So far I've had to replace
    • Mechatronic unit(I think valve body too) under warranty in 2012
    • PCB Board out of pocket in 2015

Recently I got the infamous "Geatbox Malfunction, you can continue drive..." message.
Even after the previous repairs, is it common to get this again?

The message comes and goes and even when the message is on, the car drives fine.
Could it be a speed sensor or temp sensor?

I don't have the pcode so I'd probably have to get the car in the shop, but just wanted some opinion...

    Thanks.

    Hi there,

I sometimes get the same sign as you are. I usually restart the car couple times to make it disappear or just use Vag-Com to clear the codes.
I never had Mechatronics done or any other replacements in transmission.

However, I have APR Stg2 done and I get that message after doing the ECU tune.
I 'm not sure if it is the tune that is causing this problem or bad mechatronics.

I will have my car checked out throughly after this winter. It's too cold to do anything now.

I also live in Bundang. Let me know if want to meet up or share some knowledge.
