    Audi Concert 2 wire colors

    Hi,

When I bought a car it came with SONY aftermarket radio. Now I want to replace it with Audi Concert 2+ radio unit. I've removed my radio ant saw that original ISO plugs are messed up. Wires from three plugs are combined into one, because this SONY radio has different type of plug.

I want to "restore" original ISO plugs with correct wiring, but I cannot find a scheme with info, which color wire should match specific plug and pin number.

So, anyone can help me with wires colors? :)

I managed to connect all wires. For testing puroposes I've connected Audi Chorus2 radio. Scheme looks the same as Concert 2 radio.

Radio is working fine, but I have few problems:

    1. No radio information on instrument cluster
    2. Cant access radio module via VCDS (no response from controller). (I have not genuine 12.12 cable from ebay)

With aftermarket radio there was a fault code at instrument cluster block "Radio - no communications", now this fault code gone, so it seems that cluster and radio is now communicating. Maybe any additional actions is needed to get radio info on instrument cluster?

    Hi!
Do plug C have wires connected on pin 7 and pin 12 in car wiring loom? No radio connection error in instrument cluster is normal with aftermarket unit. I have also this error with alpine unit, so it's not a problem. We're car came from? Recently had same situation, but let's start with those two wires at first.

First car registration was in Germany.

Yes, these wires are in place. pin 7 - Blue/Orange, pin 12 - Brown/Orange. Radio buttons backlight is working also (as far as I know it comes from CAN also or not? )

If it's German, then should be ok. Recently saw a4 from Dutch where those 2 wires was missing. Those 2 are CAN wires. Now is there green/blue wire connected to pin 3 on lower black plug A in your picture? This is a diagnostic wire. Radio info to instrument cluster should go through adaption channel. 17-Instruments, Adaption, read channel 062. Value should be 17. If not then change. This should give info to dash.

Yesterday I've changed these values at Instruments, tried various combinations (17, 18, 23), but still upped part of screen is stil dark :(

This diagram I've made my self by digging info at internet:

All wires are connected using this image. (Except BOSE slot is empty)

Wire color connected to pin 7 CAN-H should be orange/violet (plug C). CAN-L is ok. Find that wire and you should good to go.

One problem solved, it was radio fault.

I've got Concert 2+ radio, and now I'm able to get radio information on cluster display. But still cannot connect with VCDS.

I've found an old thread where it says, that new radios use CAN instead of K-line for diagnostis, is that true? Maybe this wthat is causing a problem.

P.S I moved k-line wire into correct pin on iso-to-quadlock harness.
