4 issues within first year of ownership

So I have had my S5 for just under a year now. I put 8600 km on the car and I had my first service a month or 2 ago.
During the course of the year I have had to take the car in for 4 different issues

- Broken bump stop and cracked casing (from delivery)
- Rattling moonroof
- Noise coming from the rear (going over bumps it sounds like a horse walking)
- Dash rattle when accelerating

I just wanted to see if this stuff is common for a new car. I am just worried that if I had these issues now within the first year, whats going to happen in the years to follow.

For the price we pay for these cars I was expecting more. My girlfriend bought a new Toyota Corolla just before I bought my S5 and she hasn't had any issues, and the car is almost 3 times less.

I am just frustrated, a hug would be nice too haha.

All typical with Audi except the bump stop in my opinion after owning 6 of them.

You want a hug now? Wait until you realize your girlfriend's Corolla outlasts your Audi by 100k miles with only doing routine maintenance

My moonroof just started making noises now that it's reached sub-freezing temperatures outside.

No other issues.

Issues with the moonroof will go away if you use some lube around the rubber in order to make the expansions and contractions go smoother.

Good to know! Is there a type of lube that's better than others? Should I grab something out of my nightstand or is there something more vehicle appropriate?

I have this exact problem but havent get the chance to go to dealer yet. Do you know what wrong and whether dealer will fix it.

The dealer/tech added some lube and its been good so far.

I took my car in to the dealer today for this issue, I was able to replicate it but the head tech has never herd this before. I have an appointment to fix it on Monday.

This sounds like the loose bolt behind the bumper issue. I believe that it can be accessed from the trunk. Several threads on here about it.

I feel like some get rattles and some don't. I've had about 4 different places rattles have come up in my A5, most being somewhere in the dash or pillar area. They come and go...sometimes I feel like hearing my voice soothes the car and they go away.

Mother's Q5 and girlfriend's S4 both get rattles from time to time as well.

Many people report that silicon spray is best. KY might be a little more pricey and so far no one has really reported using this before.

There is zero issue with my 2014 S5. It has 9700 miles with two oil changes.

- No Bump stop issue
- My Subwoofer rattles my mesh divider so i keep it closed.. but i assume that's the flimsy mesh divider .. moon roof itself no issues
- Stock suspension was gone too fast to notice this
- i get crackles and water noises from the dash on start up.. but i heard this is normal

I got my car back from the dealer .. It almost got to the point where we had to get Audi Canada involved, luckily they found the issues of the rear noise. Turns out my trunk lid was sitting low, so they raised the trunk lid stops, added some lubrication to the stops and trunk rubber lining and the noise has seemed to disappear. The car is quiet now.

The buzzing on acceleration comes and goes, I was advised to bring it in when it happens again and they will fix it on spot. Overall I am happy with the customer service from my dealer.
