Problem after fueling?

My car has an engine light that comes and goes but basically right after filling up my gas tank (any amount) the car will not start on the first go. I'll turn my key and it sputters about 5 times before I stop and wait a few seconds then go again. Then after about 3-4 more sputters it starts but then the RPMS shoot up and it's abnormally loud. (Kind of like I went full throttle for a second). The local dealership wants $250 just to have it diagnosed so I was hoping someone on here could identify what the problem is so I won't have to blow a bunch of cash..

Oh and the car runs just fine after. You can't tell there's anything wrong with it besides the engine light that comes and goes.

Just purchased a new purge valve to see if this fixes the problem.

Same here. Mine happened about two weeks ago and the gas cap notification would pop up too. Bought the part too and going to install this weekend cause it was too cold with all this snow on the east coast. Hope this resolves the issues from what I read.

I Installed the new purge valve and it fixed the problem. I've filled up numerous times since then and it's good as new again :-)
