Just bought a 2017 Q7

We ordered one months ago for my wife, and then one showed up that was 99% the exact car we assumed would take months. We jumped on it immediately and took it home tonight. The first one sold in Utah, as far as I know; the other will be going to a local auto show.

Excuse the poor pictures, I'll take better ones eventually, but it's a super nice car. It'll take me weeks to figure out all the new tech.

We have two kids, planning on a third, so the Q5 didn't work any better for us than our Tiguan. Though I love the SQ5!

Sticker was about $66K, and we got about $2K off with loyalty incentives and negotiated discount. Considering it's the first of it's kind, I didn't worry much about the price.

I noted above, but I got $1,500 off MSRP + $500 in factory incentive / loyalty. Plus winter mats; winter mats, guys!

It's sweet. Really good visibility, the LED lights can change color. Tons of cool touch surfaces. I haven't even started playing with the dual displays yet, but as I understand it they're highly customizable.

Lucky you, my dealer is only throwing in the all-season mats with no other discounts other than the Audi loyalty. We are picking up our Q7 this week and I will make sure they give me the Audi Care for free!!!

The Tesla Model X has their take on sliding doors!! And has 7 seats and decent boot space too (if you can get over the garish exterior styling!)

Nice car! I still can't over my utter hatred for the horrid mandatory yellow/orange reflectors all American spec cars seem to have on their body work. And the little yellow/orange corner lights they have in the corner of all front headlights.

HORRIBLE!

They ruin the lines, purity and beauty of so many European cars.

i think so too. on the one i had for a day it did not have it. i am curious if it can be enabled through vcds once they support the platform.

That would be awesome. Alex @ Europrice has a cool little module for the 5's (maybe 4's too) that kind of simulates a sweeping light by *slightly* delaying the outside light, using the current e-code B8/8.5 tails...it's actually pretty cool. I'm getting euros for my RS next week and gonna check them out, worth the extra $200 to give it a shot!

I just sat in a Q7 today and the dash was nothing like yours.

The speedo and tach were analog and the navigation on the dash was just in-between them. It did not encompass the entire drivers dash area.

We just drove a Carrera White Q7 Premium Plus the other day, what a great improvement to the first Q7! Some people negatively comment on the size when they hear that the new Q7 is shorter and lower. They don't realize that in fact the inside is much more spacious than the previous Q7! We have 3 small kids and our current Q7 with 6 seat config is not doing it anymore, so we ordered the new one, coming in April. We are still debating on the color, we know and really like the glacier white metallic but we have never seen an Audi in Tofana White Crystal. Does anyone have any idea what the Tofana looks like? I googled some picture but it is too hard to tell on a picture. Our dealer has no info yet as the car is so new.

Local dealer here in Northern VA has about 4 on the lot. All appear to be optioned similarly as the sticker price on all 4 is right at about $67k. Good looking vehicle that will definitely benefit from a wheel upgrade.

I would go Volvo, the Q7 is IMO looks awful, they have 2 new 2017 Q7's here at the local dealer and they have been sitting for over a month, the sales guy told me people are asking if they can still order a 2016. The tech on the Q7 is great though.

dealer is a liar because no 2016 Q7 exists so i don't know how one would "still" be able to order one that does not exist. those Q7 have been sitting there for a month because they have only been available since the second week of january depending on location and dealer allocation. rural areas or smaller volume dealers got them later in smaller allotments.

the new q7 isn't winning any beauty contests in my opinion and is in desperate need of an s-line package to spruce it up sadly none slated for the US. i have a feeling it will get an early refresh but that is just my own speculation.

I have the new Q7 in my garage next to a 2015 sline Q7 and besides my black optics, looks hands down better in person to me. Much better lines and looks more reasonable. This is coming from someone who said the early pictures look like a damn suburu so I'm not an early fanboy.

I haven't bought one yet, got it as a loaner with my RS7 in for service and tune. I'm going to have him look for one close to my desired configuration. There is no contest between these two vehicles. Especially once you get inside and drive it. It's a massive difference all around.

i got to spend two separate days in the new q7. the looks have not grown on me yet. the interior and tech are phenomenal. no doubt about it. best in it's class.

if i were to purchase one i have a list of things i would do on it to get it where i want it to be but i want to see what audi offers in the second round before i do upgrades myself.
