    Sirius disapeared after body work

Car was in the shop for a new front bumper, and driver side door repair. When I got it back the radio and other other electronics work fine but there is no more Sirius option from the tuner menu. I've read that some others have lost Sirius and needed and MMI software update to get it back. I'm not sure if I need to go this route or if something could have happened when the car was in the body shop. When I connect VCDS and try to talk to the Sat Radio it can't connect. The car is going back to the body shop to see if they might have somehow disconnected power to the Sirius receiver. Where does the power wire to the Sirius receiver come from? Is the Sirius receiver behind the center console? Any thoughts?

sure it's not just the sat antenna that was disco'd?

Not sure but if the antenna was disconnected wouldn't there still be a Sirius option in the MMI tuner? I'd imagine there would be no reception but at least the Sirius option would be there. I went back to the body shop today and they took a quick look at it and couldn't figure it out. It doesn't seem likely that the antenna was disconnected based on the work that was done.

No, if the antenna is disconnected it'll become greyed out and inaccessible (on my 2011 MMI 3G). There are individual leads for sirius + nav.

I believe on the s4 the leads are long and run down to the receiver directly, so should be a quick check for you. Look for red/green/blue circular coax connectors.

i dunno. On my B7 I thought the antenna hookup had some sort power aspect to it. if so, maybe it would not show in the MMI if the contact was not being made on the hookup.

Interesting...Where would I look for those leads? Are those leads running from the box behind the left side liner in the trunk?

Based on lead length, I believe it's by the sirius receiver, next to the amp on the left side of the trunk, behind the protective covers. (Not guaranteed)

Sorry I can't give a definitive answer, I have a Q5. (Recently had to replace my antenna and ended up using one from an a4)
