    Rear seats not latching...

Hey y'all. New to Audizine. been stalking the site for a good 9 or so months, and haven't gotten around to signing up. Now that things don't work, I thought it'd be a good time to sign up. lol

So, my rear seats never latched when I got my 03 a4 b6 back in April. I finally got the latch apart last night, and tried to do some trouble shooting. I actually never knew there was a red flag that came up when the seats weren't latched. (probably my problem) But after looking at it, when I turn the handle, nothing moves on the inside of the seat to release the seat from the latch. Is there something broken? Or was it just installed wrong? It looks like the previous owner tried to fix it, because I'm missing a torx screw on the top part of the latch. If y'all can take 2 minutes to post pictures of y'alls b6 rear latch to compare, or tell me what's wrong with it, I'd appreciate it! I think on the underside of the handle, there is supposed to be a knob to protrude and it aligns with the female side in the seat that rotates when I move the handle. But nothing is protruding as the pictures below show. It lines up perfectly like there is something supposed to stick out Need help!

Instead of messing with the latch mechanism, adjust the seat latches by moving the position of the latch pin forward, back, up or down, in and out, so that the latch pin enters the latch in the proper alignment. You won't need to move the latch pins a lot to obtain correct latch function.
