    Another timing question

Hey guys, pretty new to the Audi world, girlfriend just bought an 05 3.0 with 80k on it. Previous owner was "unsure" if the tb was replaced but said they followed factory schedule. My questions are whats the best kit to get? And Where to get loaner tools? My Matco distributor wants 290, and I can't seem to justify buying them for one time. Thanks in advance.

I would go with either Blauparts or EuropaParts full kits (the kits with the most parts from each respective site). I believe that Blauparts rents the tools to you, others places are forum members or eBay if you can't rent them anywhere else.

A lot of us have used the Blauparts kit, including myself. The Europa kits are great too. I have the tools and I let members on here borrow them. You're in Wilmington (Assuming Delaware) which isnt far from Philly. You could totally "rent" the tools from me, I just require a deposit on the tools so that I don't get screwed in the end. Basically, pay shipping + $100 deposit and they are yours to use.

Also, if the car is in decent shape, not overly dirty (engine bay, not exterior), and you have a warm/dry place to work, I wouldn't mind lending a hand if you wanted some help. I've done this job twice now and I am confident I can get it done in an afternoons time. PM me for me details. So many people have helped me out on here and I don't mind returning the favor.
