Any threads for converting factory halogen to factory HID?

Tried a search but didn't come up with anything and wanting to convert my Halogen to HID without doing a drop in kit. If not are people having success with drop in kits in their Halogen housings?

Forgive me as I'm new to all things Audi here. So I can take my 2004 with Halogen headlights and unplug them and plug in a factory set of lights with HID's and things will work? Do I need to have the car programmed to let it know? Basically wanting to know what it takes to be able to install something like this into my car. http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...-new-bulbs-300

Again, not new to building and customizing cars, just new to Audi and needing some education from the pro's here. :)

nope...it will work fine. just make sure you purchase the correct wattage HID kit. i believe 35watt is for fog lights only.

the only difference is that you will not have the factory self leveling setup which, i do in fact miss with my most current B6.
