Roc Euro?

Anyone else waiting on a intake from them?

I've read and searched here and others and I know they aren't known for customer service. Ordered 27th emailed 29th saying 1 week at the latest. Emailed twice asking for updates and called 2x with no answer.

Looking forward to start the modding on my "new to me" 2012 b8 S4.

Yea, that's what I was reading from months back. Wasn't sure if possibly he had a surge or orders or just not a guy into communication. I'll give it a go for a few days longer. Worst case I can always order a CTS. Just wanted to support the guy who made the design originally.

I understand the holidays plus there was a storm here in the Midwest earlier that postponed his filter order. Maybe a little communication back would be nice. Most likey a case of me just wanting to hear the charger and being impatient. I could always run to Walgreens and grab a pack of Vagasil to help hold me over.

When I ordered my Roc-Euro intake I was told it would ship in a week. 2 weeks later I was told it would ship the next day. A little over a week after that... it finally shipped out.

With that said, it's a fantastic product and well worth the wait. I just think they need to estimate longer shipping times. No one would get pissed if they were told 4 weeks and it shipped in 1, versus the other way around.

True. I did read more than a few posts on the topic with the other 95 million which is better intake/sound/looks posts. Main reason why I went with John was sound and what seems like a quality product.

I was, but then I cancelled the order. I've spoke to them over the phone a few times now, apparently the orders are backed up due to paint blemishes from their powdercoat provider.

I went with Brand 'C' and have no complaints. It's less expensive and comes with a mounting bracket for the secondary air intake tube/filter. And, it was in stock and delivered to my door within 5 days of ordering.

I just felt the CTS was a bit of a kick in the balls. No R&D involved, maybe made a few improvements in fitment but seems pretty damn identical. Pretty familiar with aftermarket companies and reverse engineering a product that delivers. If I can throw the $$ to the guy who was first on the spot with the idea I will, plus supporting a smaller shop. Not to say anyone who buys a cts is this or that. I don't judge anyone who spends money they earn working a 9-5 except my wife.

I am however closely keeping my eye on the APR and EPL threads going on.

no. just let it sink to the bottom. leaves a trail of quasi-feedback for future reference. in my opinion the only deleted threads should be for sale items that are taken down or amicably sold

When I was searching for info for some reason the USP wasn't a product talked about much. Mostly went open air being roc then cts, closed all the other brands. Might have been searching wrong since I never specifically searched for it.

All the CAI brands seem good, I just went USP because it's open like Roc and CTS, except the intake pipe is stepped to 4" at the filter adding a little venturi effect (confirmed by my engineering buddy lol). Enjoy your intake! The whine is addicting (10k miles and still addicting lol).

I know a good amount about Venturi. Although sure as hell not a engineer. We should have a sticky with intakes Q/A, tunes etc. It'll save some time for newbs like myself "aka to lazy to search"

Yeh I posted a brief review of the USP, but you know the avalanche that is Audizine. Honestly I doubtt the stepped intake really makes that big a difference in actual whp, but it makes me sleep better at night lol.

Every time I see these threads I get more @#$%ing confused. lol...

Is the CTS intake as loud as the Roc-Euro? I was stupid enough to get married or have kids so I don't have some whining wife or cry babies to get upset over the super charger whine. I want something louder and more aggressive... My buddies APR looks great but bleh on the sound and the cost... That is the only one I have heard other than where someone stuck a MIC on theirs under a hood which is NOT where I drive... :)

I think the CTS and RE sound similar from the clips I've heard. I personally have a RE.

As for the whine, for those curious, my kids and wife never even noticed it. I even asked my kids, "Do you guys hear that cool sound?" And they had no idea what I was even talking about until I pointed it out. Now they will go "Wrrrrrrrrrrrrr" whenever I give it some good throttle and I grin ear-to-ear the whole time

Get those kids involved! :) It's just funny because I have seen an overwhelming around of posts about people saying they got rid of the RE because of the sound and their wife didn't like it or the kid was crying... ;P

Now I just need to find one. I am not ordering from a company and waiting months to get it. That is pathetic. So unless I find one used, I guess ill got to CTS.. =)
