Question on How much I could sell my car for...

I have a Audi a4 B8 Avant. SPM downpipe, aurocode sway bar, GIAC tune, dry drop in air filter, ecs inlet hose, new ignition kit, and new rear differential. It has 103,675 miles on it. But with the problem of oil consumption they put a new motor on it. it only has about 35,000-40,000 miles on that engine. If you could get my an estimate on how much I could sell it for that would be a huge help!

You probably can't get more for the car with the mods than without, but you could always list it for two prices and see if someone wants to pay extra. I'm gonna say $11,500 to $12,500

You rarely get any money for the mods. you are better off removing them and putting it back to stock and sell the parts.

Nope. The car still has 103,000 miles on it. The newer motor just gets some points for condition, everything else in the car has 100K+ miles of wear.

FYI mods do not add value to the car. You're better off taking the mods off and returning to stock, then sell the mods.

Look up your car on NADA.com or KBB.com. The NADA value is the closest to what you could get. Any mods should be removed. Mods tend to hurt the value of your car as they signal to the second owner that it may have been driven hard. Return it as close to stock as possible for the best value.

So you're planning on selling your 6 year old car for a 12 year old car because of reliability? That doesn't make sense. RWD in SLC sounds like a nightmare. Also studded tires are illegal in some areas.

Just go out and total it, but only if you have car replacement assistance coverage on your insurance.

My insurance company gave me ~$22k+ for my '09 Avant w/ 93k miles, and it had only 10k miles on the new engine when the cable barrier slapped it in the face.

12 year old M3 does not equal a good daily driver. They're fun when pushed, but that engine is a screamer and doesn't like low speed cruising. They're also fiendishly expensive to maintain, as others have mentioned. Fun second car, not a fun primary car.
