I've been pulled over by the Redmond PD (they seem to be actively pulling folks over). You get two plates issued to you in the mail or at the DMV (in regards to the highlighted part. Nothing to do if you have a front plate delete installed or not (they don't really care).

I have mine on magnets (like here).

I don't have it on most of the time. Never been pulled over for it. When I'm parking downtown, I might throw it on, since the meter maid might get a little over zealous. I also put it on when I cross the border but the feds don't care about state laws too much. They have given me shit for it before.

I don't run a front plate on either of my cars. I've been pulled over once a few years back for no front plate. Paid the ticket and said F off. Its worth it.

Most of my driving is in Redmond/Bellevue/Kirkland these days, but it seems like Redmond PD are the only ones always out making revenue stops. I don't see that in Bellevue or Kirkland.

That said, I don't run a front plate on any of our cars and haven't had any trouble. But I don't get pulled over for any other reasons either so...

The meter maid issue is a good point though. If I regularly spent a lot of time parked on the street I'd consider a temporary plate arrangement. Otherwise, yeah, just pay the ticket every now and then if you have to.

Depends on the city. Like others have said Redmond is actively enforcing them. Tacoma meter maids are also very strict. I got two within 2hrs and a few blocks from each other while parked downtown. I'm mostly in Seattle and have only been pulled over once in the last 5 years w/o a plate. That was really cause the cop was sitting in a school zone just looking to give out tickets for something. Meter maids in Seattle don't seem too care much.

I have a magnet plate but I always forget to put it on while parked.

I've never had one on my S4, only been pulled over once in 10 years, no ticket. Also, no plate on my F350, no pull overs in the 4 years I've owned it.
