    Bolts for Alu Kreuz

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hello Folks.
For those who have either installed the Alu Kreuz stabilizer or those who know these cars mechanically, anyone have part numbers for the bolts used? I understand those bolts should not be reused. I bought the Alu Kreuz off another member but don't think 20 bucks for the bolts and 25 for shipping from Eurocode makes sense.
Maybe I can get them through Audi parts or something.
    Thoughts?
Folks who installed, did you just get the bolts from Eurocode or Audi or...?

I installed my Alu Kreuz about 5 years ago using the original bolts. Tracked the car a few times, put 40k miles on it, no problems. Eurocode at the time did not include new bolts with it, not sure if they do now.

The subframe bolts are torque to spec, like many of the bolts on our cars, so they're stretched slightly when you take them off. Many people end up reusing them. Yes, you can get replacements from an Audi dealership. I did.

Check here for the parts list. The facelift models use both 18mm and some triple square.

The eurocode kit shows 2 kinds of bolts; 4 are a hex, and 2 are triple squares, so you're right that there are hex bolts involved. Personally, I would just drop the $25 on the eurocode hardware.

It's $21 for the hardware and another $20+ to ship which is insane. I recently bought a used Alu Kruez also and when I called the local Audi parts dept they said save some money and just get the bolts from Home Depot.

I read that as $20 for the hardware, and $25 total with shipping. Yeah, not worth the money to ship, plus snail mail should only be a couple of dollars.

    The B8 takes :
    6 (qty) N91151101 : 12x1.5x42 hex head : List price $3.70 (2.29 at genuine)

    The B8.5 takes :
    4 (qty) N91151101 : 12x1.5x42 hex head : List price $3.70 (2.29 at genuine)
    2 (qty) WHT005372 : 12x1.5x51 triple square : List price $3.50 (2.17 at genuine)

Shipping is like $9.50 I think - but that's still only about $24 for the set shipped.

    Thanks! Really helpful.

Thanks all. Will order from Genuine. All in, that's about 25 bucks cheaper than eurocode...
