B5 S4 boost/vacuum leak

Car just started what sounds like massive boost/vacuum leak. It sounds more like boost cause it seems to loud for a vacuum leak. Just does it middle boost like when taking off but doesn't affect power at all. Definitely coming from drivers side sounds like down in front of petals. Any ideas where it's coming from? Btw 2001.5, stage 3. Thanks!!

Do a boost leak test should tell you faily quickly where its coming from

I did a test and didn't find it... It sounds almost like it's coming from inside down by the clutch petal or around there but don't know of anything it could be down there...

Do you have a boost gauge? Maybe the line to it is leaking, that's where it is usually routed.

Pretty sure I have nearly the same problem, would a leak to my boost gauge make a small sputtering noise when building boost? Sorry to thread Jack but just wondering.

Yea it runs straight back thru the firewall behind the stereo and seems fine. The noise sounds major like a big leak. I'll try to post a video

It doesn't make any difference on rpms just boost.

I'd check the spiral shape pipe coming right off the driver's side turbo. it's a loud one and in the area you're suggesting. but it would definately affect power if it gets worse. You gotta get under the car to get to it.

Otherwise, you gotta do the smoke test.

I was going to check that next. Thought that would get louder at full boost tho...

You mean the one going to the intercooler? Just pulled it off n it seems good.
