Has anybody repaired an OEM Ti rim from curb rash?

It has been a while since I repaired a wheel from curb rash. So careful, but today, I f'd up.

Are these Ti (part of the black optic package for my '14) wheels repairable? By repairable, I mean re-painted or re-finished.

If so, is it spot painted, or does the whole wheel need to be done like a chrome finish?

    Thanks!

Depending how bad it is, they are difficult to repair since the lip and part of the face is machined. You can't use fillers. Usually repair shops just paint the machined surface to an aluminum color.

My wife has same finish on her wheels and Discount Tire messed them up. Fast forward And they can be refurbished to new condition but to do it right its more $$$. Bill was $600+ for all 4.
They resurfaced the faces and also repainted and cleared the wheels. Turned out great! For a 2011 it was a nice free refresh!

I had some curb dings on same wheels. My Audi dealership fixed them for free. I think they said it could cost something like $50 a wheel. They grind them down. You can't tell the results unless there pointed out.

I had one of mine done and it came out perfectly. The only noticeable difference is if you really look closely, the texture is slightly different in the paint. They used a 2nd wheel as a reference to get the machine marks on the lip correct and I'm very happy with the results. I had my friends at Fall-Line do it so I cannot speak from the experience of working through a dealer. I can tell you that I have seen "dealer approved" wheel refinishing companies working on the ground in the back lot of a dealer to "fix" wheels so I wouldn't be too confident going that route.

My wife curbed one of the rims not the rotors but the other 19's and it cost 120 to fix it. They had to add material sand and paint it.

I had 2 curbed Titanium OEM rims fixed at dealer for $200 each. It was quick and now they look better than the other 2.

Refinishing a wheel properly is very difficult. In many cases the finish will end up flaking off in a couple of years, but if you aren't planning on keeping the car long then it is no big deal. Or if you just want it to look good. You can always have them redo it as well. Should run you around $100 per wheel.
