Crack in my exhaust manifold is...

GONE!!! thanks to tim@sgt, he swapped out my cracked manifold and installed the stock manifold i bought from bitterchild. all i can say is that this is a totally different car. feels soOoOOo much faster now. that exhaust leak was killing me and it made this terrible scream through the crack past 5000rpms at full boost. all of that is gone and it runs stronger than ever. i think i may be happy with the pc16 software. i don't fell like modding the audi anymore (performance wise).

boost is instant and i hit full boost before 3000rpms, power feels like it pulls past 6000rpms and it's just lovely. i'll hit the dyno soon, i'll keep you guys updated.

oh, if you pm'd me and asked me if the pc16 is worth it, i now can say yes!!! i wasn't happy when the exhaust leak was present, i was loosing at least 40 hp (guessing).

blacka4: i don't know exactly...i hear the pc16 is supposed to be around 250hp/300tq at the crank, but that's not comfirmed. when i dyno i'm hoping to see close or more than 200hp, i'm being conservative with the numbers because of the tip tranny and the drivetrain loss.

Well it might be around the end of this month or the first of next month. Greg wanted to have a dinner gtg and then head to SAC raceway, but he wont be back till the 2nd week of Nov. I will post when my car is done and let everyone up there know when I plan to run at sac, it's just more fun when there are more there.

i asked giac and they said between 240-275 crank hp depending on the quality of the fmic. they said if you have a very efficient intercooler expect 275, a crappy intercooler 240ish. and torque around 300 for both.

I dont thing any K04 setup from GIAC is going to produce 275 hp. Just look at the J31 chip which is the strongest of them all, it only makes around 250 hp with about 320+ tq.
