    Slow seat belt retraction

    Hi guys,

I dunno what the deal is, but in my B7 S4 both front seat belts are slow in retracting onto the roller. Is there any way to tighten/speed that up? I never had a problem like this on my old B6 S4.

Could your seat belts be dirty? I came across a post before where someone had that problem. Cleaned the belt with soap and water. Let it dry and it became faster.

I know my fathers work van has that problem and his belts are dirty.

I have this issue particularly with my driver's belt. Enough that I think it's retracting but then flops and gets in the way of closing the door.

Guess I'll try cleaning it. Thanks for the tip!

I suppose they could be, but using water on them currently is a no-go, as it's below zero for the next week. I would love it if the solution were that simple, though.

Same issue as well, has been this way since I purchased the car.

Will try this as well and report back!

Same here. I looked into the issue for about 30 seconds, I guess you can pop off the b pillar cover, and adjust it. Someone who more knowledge will have to explain further.
