    Hey guys.

My sister goes to school at St Leo University and I need some help fixing her car. She has a 2003 Hyundai Accent, and recently someone told me the Idler Pulley is starting to squeak. I just did a timing belt job on this car about 3k miles ago and the idler (which is also the tensioner) was in good enough shape to re-use.

I need someone who is capable of pulling the front passenger wheel and the splash guard to get to the idler to help me out. I can pay in beer (which equates to cash) via Paypal or Venmo. I'd rather trust an AudiZine member instead of a shop I never dealt with (I live in Philly). I've done all of the work on this car in the last 4 years and its in good shape overal. This repair would straight up a remove and replace ordeal (I'd like you to eyeball other things too while you're wrenching) and shouldn't take more than an hour. I estimate I could do it in 20min, but I consider my wrenching skills+tool set above average.

If you can help, PM me and we can get things moving. I am planning on visiting her in March and plan on using her car while I'm there, so I'd like it to be fixed sooner or later (I don't want to wrench on vacation). Also, you'd probably become my go to mechanic in the Tampa area for the next 2 years, so you got that going for you!

In the worse case scenario we have a very good trusted mechanic here in Jacksonville (about a 3 hour drive) that works on import cars, mainly Japanese, but Hyundai shouldn't be a problem. He's very good and trustworthy. Ironically, I'll be there in Tampa tomorrow through this weekend, but it's All-State High School Concert Band so there for the kids - no time to mechanic lol. Like I said, in the worst case, is an option at least.

Hey Just saw this. I never venture down to these parts of the forums. I'll send you a PM later on today. Via the phone, I've ruled out the initial hypothesus, and now I just think the alternator belt needs a tad of tension applied. She took it to a TireKing? for an oil change and they gave her a list of things that are wrong (front brakes, even though I put new pads and rotors on it in August....). I can't stand sketchy mechanics.
