My Introduction to the B8 Forums and a quick question!

Hey guys and girls just thought i would introduce myself has i haven't ever been in this forum yet (b6 & b7 up until now.) A week ago tomorrow i picked up my new to me 2011 A4 2.0T quattro prem plus with a 6 speed manual. it took me a year of searching for the right car to replace my beloved 07 A4 which sadly Bambi took from me in April of last year. so far i am happy with my find and enjoy the upgrade a lot. I hope to be fairly active in here and hopefully make a progression thread at some point. I do have a question can someone confirm for me that the body style of the sedan and the avant is the same in 2011, I'm in the market for a bra for the front of the car and found a sale on one that claims it's only for the avant. Yet on the company's website the model number for sedan and avant is the same. Thanks in advance for the helps guys!![IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

Thanks guys i will not be changing the wheels i love the fact that it had them on when i purchased her! i really couldn't have asked for more! Car was at a local dealer less than 5 miles from my house and was only listed for sale for 10 days before i took ownership. i think i might debadge the rear thought i don't mind the emblems but don't really care to much for the black plasti dipped ones. guess i could just peal it off also

Car looks great, it looks like you have the Black Optics/Titanium (I forget which year they changed the name) package. Definitely a good choice, and props for doing your homework and waiting to find a car with the right option packages!

Beautiful find. Us manuals are rare! I am assuming you are also lucky to have a black headliner. If you are talking about the old school vinyl bras you strap onto the nose of your car, I recommend against it. In my experience they end up doing more harm than good. Dirt gets underneath and as the wind buffets under the bra, it mars the paint. Plus if moisture gets trapped underneath, it can permanently damage your paint.

These days those willing to shell out the cash are going with the clear bra film. I have it on my Wife's Q5 and after more than 30k miles plus driving on the aggressive LA freeways, her bumper is pit and chip free. Plus if you wrap your entire hood and front end, it will be virtually inadvisable. I believe Xpel is the best brand. Also, I'd go with an installer that uses a pre-cut pattern so they're not cutting the material with a razor into your paint.

Great find! Go 6MT! I'd personally get rid of the taillight tint (and the plasti-dipped badges), but otherwise it looks awesome!
