Just a question for you guys who have experienced the sports suspension. Not the one on the s4 but the option for the 4 cylinder a4. Is it much stiffer than the reg suspension? Is it worth it. I have driven the reg suspension for a week while my b7 was in the shop and seems a lot softer than my b7. any thoughts?

I have the sports suspension and think it's pretty good. Wasn't at all uncomfortably stiff until I added stiffer sways, end links and other goodies.

I've owned a B8 with normal suspension, which I then dropped on Eibach springs, and a B8.5 with sports suspension which I've left alone. The sports suspension is a bit stiffer than the standard, and noticeably lower. The S4 sway bars which are a part of the sports suspension also make a big difference when cornering. After owning one I'd include the sports package on the "must have" list if I ever buy another B8.

I agree. 750$(?) is a steal for what you get.

Completely agree with both PQ and Smellie ... plus you get the sport seats. Best value upgrade for the B8 or 8.5, and IMO an absolute must.

The sport package is undeniably worth it since you get the lower suspension, sport seats, and a 3 spoke wheel.

However the actual sport suspension itself isn't that great. It doesn't perform that much better than non-sport. Its ride height is still higher than most other cars with sport suspensions. Its still very soft for a 'performance oriented' suspension and not harsh at all (which was the OPs question). The upgraded sway bars are what provide most of the handling benefits.
