    Almost blew engine. ..eek. watch out for that boost controller!

    looks as if one of the balls on the turbine side of boost controller is missing pieces. First time I've ever come across this.

    If you didn't get it. A shitty spring type Boost controller runs on a spring and two ball bearings. One of them got eat up by heat and warped the spring too and caused a massive boost leak.

    Mine wasn't the cause of heat however, it was a build up of moisture that ended up seizing the ball bearing and making it stuck to the inside of the mbc. Just run a little fuel filter inline right before your manual boost controller. This made me boost to 40psi. At least I was running meth on a built motor, but I stretched the stock headbolts.

    Also FYI, you posted this thread in the Projects & Builds sub forum.

    What turbo did/do you have that stretched the stock head bolts?
