I bought my 2013 S4 used from a local non-audi dealership labor day of last year at 28k miles and have been performing my own maintenance or taking it to Solomotorsports here in north Atlanta.
Recently, I had just take then S4 to Solomotorsports for a brake flush, ATF fluid change, and oil change. They informed me the water pump was leaking, so I scheduled a time the following day to bring it to the dealer to have the water pump replaced and airbag module recall performed.
The fella at the service desk of the dealership asked if I had been doing all my own maintenance, which I had, and proceeded to inform me the vehicle still had Audicare on it and all scheduled maintenance was covered.... I about shit myself .
So in speaking with a friend of mine who is a tech at a GM dealership, he stated that if a customer did not know his vehicle had GM Care and paid to have scheduled maintenance done, that he will be reimbursed what he paid. Granted, I do not know if the stipulation was that the scheduled service was performed at a dealership and he paid for said service, which puts the service dept at fault for not informing the customer of his GM Care..... or if maintenance was performed at an independent shop.
I haven't spoken to the dealership yet, but has anyone ever been through an experience like this and had an outcome similar to the GM Care situation?
