    2.8 a4 2.7t intake manifold swap

Last week i started working on my a4 and i noticed the intake manifold on the 30v 2.8 is plastic . I know theres other audi engines that come with plastic manifolds and they crack even with stock power. Pretty soon i want to install a wet nitrous system and spray a single stage 100 shot that it probably wont survive, to solve that problem i want to swap the a4 manifold with a metal one from the s4 2.7t. From what i know the 2.7 and 2.8 are pretty much the same engine except for higher compression, weaker pistons, 2 bolt main, and no turbos. The intake manifold should be interchangeable because s4 guys sometimes use 2.8 heads but i cant find any threads or videos on how to take off the 2.8 manifold, any help or info on how direct of a swap it is would be really appreciated

    All Over!

The S4 intake will bolt to your 2.8 motor.

But...there'll be no benefits in terms of power. You'll lose torque at certain load areas, and driveability will be affected. The variable intake manifold plays a big part in smooth power delivery with the naturally aspirated 2.8 V6 engines.

I'm aware the stock intake is plastic, it will handle nitrous, just as well as the same intake will handle up to 12 psi of boost, IF the engine could handle it.

Thanks do you know if there is any sensors or wires on the 2.8 that wont bolt directly to the s4 manifold? I know the stock one can handle some boost for a while but i still wouldnt feel safe spraying anything more then a 50 shot because the quick change in temp and extra pressure might crack it
