If you buy some epoxy make sure it's 100% solids only, those are the best and longest lasting products out there. They are also the most expensive for that reason.
I prepped the floor by grinding it down with this tool. Diamond tips that grind away a thin layer of concrete to remove all contaminants on the surface so the epoxy will bond well.
Personally i should have used less flecks that i currently have. It's a bit of an art to get it to look good, but you either go lots of flecks or a little generally speaking. Some people do lots to make the surface really rough, but i prefer it a bit smoother.
