Audi RNS-E BOSE vs NON-BOSE Quad connector

Does it matter whether your Quad connector is Bose or None bose when retrofitting an RNS-E in a B6???

the bose and non-bose harnesses are the same, with the exception of the additional plug on the non-bose harness for the amplified front speaker outputs. if you have bose, then which harness doesn't matter. If you have non-bose, then you need a harness with the additional plug, otherwise you won't get any output from the front speakers.
