55k miles/DSG MY13: Maintenance, Dented bumper, vagcom mixed questions

    Hey guys,

    1)Maintenance

Bought a CPO car with 94k KM ( approx. 55k miles for my US friend :) ), 1000 km later, I had a oil minimum warning. This got me thinking that Audi didn't really do any maintenance before delivering me the car. So what should I do to start fresh with the car ?

Change ALL fluids, including DSG ?any special/prefered oil for the DSG
    spark plug ?
    carbon clean-up ?
Air intake already changed for a CTS intake ( yeah! lol)
    cabin filter ?
    fuel filter ?

    2)Bumper

Car is black and there's LOT of stone chip on the bumper, I didn't really care, but yesterday I had a minor hit and run and left a ''dent'' in my bumper about 3-4 inch long and 0.5inch width + slightly cracked lip ( thanks god the RS grill didn't get damaged lol). What should I do ?? How expensive are those bumper ? should I look for an aftermarket and/or jobber? make a claim throught insurance ? keep it as is and wait for more damage .. :(

    3) Vag-com

I wish to unlock ADS-LITE on my non-sport diff B8.5, as far as I read on the vag-com thread, it's the only mod I'm really interested in ( oh maybe the battery meter too!). Is there a least expensive tool than the ross-tech at 350usd that could do this ?

    Thanks and happy weekend boys!

1 I would contact Audi for all of the service records on your vehicle before jumping into anything for maintenance. Check the maintenance schedule that I posted below. Some if these cars burn oil and the indicator light comes on when you need to add ~a quart of oil. Get yourself a dipstick.

You can check cabin filter and change it yourself in ten minutes if need be.

3 Get a ross tech cable and no cheap knock off. It's a great tool to have in your possession. No battery meter for 13 on.

Do not assume that they did not put oil in it by servicing it, There are people on here including myself that their cars burned oil every 1,000 miles and had to be addressed to Audi.

Once it's topped up, keep an eye on the oil level. If it seems to drop pretty quickly ask your dealer to have the oil consumption test. I had mine done recently on my '10 S4 (around 96,000km on it) and fortunately it was only a faulty PCV. Any consumption that is less than 500ml/1000km is considered acceptable, I was at 300ml.

Here are the instructions I made for myself for ADS Lite.

S4 (B8) with 6MT that is not equipped with ADS or Rear Sport diff 'ADS Lite'.

    **********************************************
    [09 - Cent Elect.] - MMI and non-MMI
    Byte 7 -> Bit 5 change 0 to 1

    Byte 8 Bit 0 Change 0 to 1 - Enable Engine/Gearbox
Byte 8 Bit 1 Change 0 to 1 - Enable Dynamic Steering (Definitely stiffens steering on my car - a lot)
Byte 8 Bit 2 Change 0 to 1 - Enable Engine (Improved throttle response)

Once you set these you can click the car button and the drive select should show up for dynamic/comfort/auto settings.

arent the 2 other options ( bit 0 and 2) part of putting the car in sport mode ? I thought ads lite was only useful for the steering.
