    Peeling Issues (again)

so what's the recent word on peeling issues? I am being told that it is 1 year 12,000 miles for normal wear and tear items covered by warranty, but i remember a post by FIN earlier that was a bit different.

Why is it that some dealerships are still covering peeling issues while others are not?

Same reason some are cool with mods and some aren't. As for the pealing, my dealership (ok with mods) replaced the esp button because it wasn't a result of over use. Find a winning stealership and hope for the best

i'd like to know what mods can be the cause of your interior peeling besides the "i changed my oil and never wash my hands" mod... they wont care if you are modded for something like that.

certain degreasers, that contain things like delyminine (citrus solvents) will usually strip the rubberized feel from a button. Also High alkalinity cleaners... 11+ on the ph scale will do it over time also.

the rubber is a porus substanse so these things can wick their way on to the back of it. In the case of the solvent it will off gass and break down the adhesion/adhiesives. The cleaners will slowly do the same.

7 years in the carpet/upholstry industry left me win no rubberized stuff on my tahoe, or painted product in the interior. Let alone the 4 work vans i used.

Many over the counter cleaners/degreasers fit this same bill.

I just changed my cd player because the button for volume was pealling...and my dealer was cool with mods...they still checked my suspension but can't do anything and also change my brake caliper and rotor. I went to other dealer before, and they charged $75 extra fee because need some more time to lift up my car.
