    Hey guys,

I need AWD in my life, thats what brought me here. Been hearing whispers about allroads and b5's getting the LS transplant, but there isn't that much info that I have been able to find.

Right now the motors is in a 2007 CTSV, its fun and has a lot of potential. But at these power levels, rwd is not good for much on the street. These damn GTR's... lol you get my point.

Theres a 1320 video floating around of the old setup https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZtmYRtxJoo

Its vastly improved since then, we barely had it running for that race. The 101mm was an old 2001 year turbo that I was lucky enough to be able to source a week prior to the race. The 88 we planned on didn't show up in time. I'm surprised the car did as good as it did 185 mph best, I couldnt modulate power via the pedal, it would either fall out of boost or light up the tires, so I just had to steer it the whole way down the track going until it would finally get traction around 160 .

Now its got an LSX the right turbo, traction control by boost (Davis traction box and Co2 controlled WG's), and big enough meats on the back to get most of the power to the ground even without the TC.

I'm gonna let it finally get some good records this year, but in the mean time I want to get the next host for the power plant going... I am thinking ALLROAD...

    - What Chassis is going to provide the most room under the hood?

    - What Chassis is the most budget freindly while still being a good choice?

    - What transmission is my best choice?

Anything else you guys want to inform/warn me of?

    wow

I think you might be running into transmission / differential issues on a regular basis at that point...also I expect you to absolutely shatter your axles

I'm not aware of any quattro car putting down that sort of power...

should be a cool project. make sure you budget a bit for all of the driveline components you're going to toast.

I'd transplant the engine into a D3 A8/S8 if I were you. Obviously going to be a ton of fabrication no matter what you put it in. But you'll probably have the most space in that car.
I'm living for the day I can park something Italian inside of my house.

    Awesome CTS-V!

This may be relevant to your interests. We made a flywheel and supplied some other bits for the project. IIRC, the LSX to 01E adapter plate is available from a small company. Depending on what you're doing with the car (hard launches, etc.) you may want to swap the rear diff out. USP is running an R34 Skyline Rear Diff. (Pics)

Best of luck with the project!

I think the pix of the Caddy set up make a few things obvious.... Like having an equally built recipient car that you're definitely going to sink a ton of money into from that LS's ridiculous asphalt ripping, pull your house off it's foundation torque output.

Fun in one direction....straight forward only. And doing so at a stupid fast rate...heh...
