    Hi guys,
I am new here, going for my first car. Although I have heard to occasional do not get an Audi, I think I'll be fine I love them. Looks like the car is going to have 70-90k miles on it. How much have repairs been around and past that area, any major issues? Anything I can look for in the carfax or car in general? Thanks guys (:

I'm at 76k and so far so good. Make sure that the oil consumption issues have been taken care of - that is the big item with these cars, and if you are buying a higher mileage example, this is a costly repair out of warranty. The only other major issue I've had outside of standard maintenance was a turbo issue (there is a warranty extension on turbos to 70k for wastegate issues) which I had taken care of under this extended warranty.

83k here and running like a champ. Not a drop of oil added in 8k miles. Haven't had too much to replace on the car beyond a door handle touch senor, gas door lock motor, wipers, headlight and fog light bulbs (they were original to the car). Going from my monthly wrenching on my B5 to nill on my B8 has left a huge void in my life. :P :P

    this^^^^

I'm at 96K and here is a list of what I had fixed both under warranty and out of warranty:

    Under Warranty (<65K miles):

Stage 1 and Stage 2 oil consumption fix. Google it if you're not aware. FYI Stage 2 will cost you about $5K
replaced power steering hose due to steering judder at low speed
    Turbo wastegate flapper replaced
Rear deck speaker vibration that they "couldn't fix"
Horrible wobble at highway speeds they also "couldn't fix" and blamed it on my VMR wheels cuz they were aftermarket. Prob a control arm issue which I will be fixing myself. I tried to get them to do it under warranty but they wouldnt because I had aftermarket wheels and springs.

I feel like I'm forgetting something so I'll follow up once I check my service records

    Outside of warranty:

passenger door lock needed replacing around 85K miles. not a terrible DIY
fuel door lock doesnt work. got locked shut on me, but there is a release in the trunk. Doesn't lock now but that doesnt bother me
    replaced drivers side headlight

I've been very happy with the car considering every major repair happened during the warranty period (obviously I'd be happier if it was fixed from the factory though...). That being said I would never buy one without a warranty (mine was CPO) unless all of the major known issues (mine hit most of them) have already been fixed by the previous owner. Even with the issues I've had I'd still buy it all over again just cuz I love it that much.
