Is this OEM axle still good?

Can someone tell me what needs to be done to reuse this axle? The outer boot is fine, but the inside is disconnected or ripped?

You are going to need to check the play on it and check the internal parts for any damage. Can't tell by just looking at a ripped boot.

Is the inner boot easy to replace and can it be bought separately?

If it's not making any noise I would just clean it up, grease and reboot it.

It seems like the boot just came off? Im not sure why the shop told me it was torn.. I do not see any tears.. Maybe it just needs a new clamp to hold it on tighter??

Stock inner boot is pre-assembled to the metal flange with a press-on ring & not a clamp. You could probably get away with re-clamping it but not for very long.

Get an inner CV boot kit, then clean & regrease the inner joint before you replace the boot. Inners are way easier to service than the outers, just need to pull a snap ring.

Get the boot kit from GKN and save yourself some money.

Genuine axles are serviceable unless the axle itself is bent or otherwise damaged.
