Ok, I did a KBB private party valuation. I guess it's worth $3971.

I'm thinking of just trading it in for a 2006 Honda Civic, since KBB says they're worth the same. But my local used car dealer has dozens of Civics and not a single 6-speed wagon, so I don't know if they'll even consider accepting my car as a trade-in. Do you think they'd take it off my hands if I asked only $3000 instead of $4000? I'm not sure, since basically no one can drive stick shift anymore. Plus, wagons are out of fashion these days, so a manual wagon can't possibly be in demand. Also, I heard Audi sold very few 6-speed Avants, and even fewer with Ultrasport and Arctic White, so I guess this is a really unpopular car that no one really wanted in the first place! Maybe if I'm lucky someone who doesn't care if they drive such an eyesore would be willing to pay $2500. Gonna be tough, but that's even lower than the low-end of the KBB valuation. It's almost as if KBB has no idea what this thing is worth.

it most definitely was. If the fact it wasn't for sale for a solid two years wasn't a dead giveaway, it was the fact he had zero asking price and seemed to be peeved when people weren't throwing him offers that blew him out of the water...who knows what the motivation was for the post
