A7 repair thread

Hey guys! This is the first A7 I will be repairing. Ive always done S5's through out the years, Ive been wanting to get a A7 for a minute. Finally yesterday got me a deal.

first is getting it rebuilt, had some rear end damage, nothing to severe, atleast for me.

Not going as crazy as I did on mods like my last car. Plan on doing a matte white wrap, some black wheels, drop it, rs7 grill, and possibly powder coat the calipers red.

12 50k miles prestige. Final price $17,200. ACV was 43k. First car I converted complete front end, lowered, niche wheels, custom headlights, FL rear bumper, awe exhaust, custom steering wheel and FL shift knob, brembo brakes, custom radar, FL tail lights. List goes on.

That would be nice, but I got a complete bumper assembly for $500. Couldn't pass it up.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is ACV.
Did you buy this from and insurance company at an auction? If so in SA a car would not be written off for such a small amount of damage. Damage must be at least 70% of vehicles value.

Actual Cash Value. I've purchased vehicles with salvage title due to it being keyed and a few busted windows. All depends on the state.

insurance company base the repair off what the parts would cost in the dealer. Which in this case came up to 17k, I just purchased everything this car needs for 1600. Repairs will probably cost me 2k. ACV is what its actually worth if it was a clear title, not sure if that answers the question.

I think they will. My wheels are the same as a friends A5.

Check the offset it may be different iirc

Just a little update. Car is been out the shop. Just some minor updates. put my old s5 wheels on it, rs7 grill, matched the fog grills with glossy paint and now it's getting wrapped.

The 7 will take slightly less aggressive offsets. Good luck on the new project.

That is Fantastic 4k. So all in $21 200.
In SA you could not buy a clean car for this money.
The wheels really suite that car.

Rebuilt. I keep them typically for a month then sell.

Quick question, when you painted the side grills, did you use a primer first on the plastic? How do these units come out of the front bumper?
I want to do this to my car.
