B9 A5/S5??

Has anyone heard anything or seen any photos. I have seen the interior and it looks great IMO. When will it be released? I'm probably going to trade in about 12 months.

some renderings I like... others not so much. I am a fan of the general styling changes on the other models so I'm sure it will look great. Some renderings just feel too tame IMO.

I cant wait that long. I've been driving these things since my first Coup Gt. Might be over for me.

not a fan of the A3 style nav screen. looks like someone glued a garman device to the dash. much prefer the current, integrated style. if this is the direction Audi is going, won't be a 3rd time customer.

Oddly enough, the horribly mounted screen is what turned me away from a CLA45 AMG and towards the S5. Now that Audi 5's are going the "glued on" route, I don't know how I feel. The interior design just looks like an after thought when screens are mounted that way.

BMW did the same with. Went from integrated to that cheap looking afterthought style.

^ Haven't noticed this is the 6 series coupes ... can't speak to the lesser series (3/4) bimmers. Believe the new MB C coupes have adopted the same practice, but not so in what little I've seen in the next gen E series coupe. Hopefully the next gen/new Lexus SC won't follow suit as well.

I hope this time audi will build strong V6T, it's too much competition with V6T engines like New Infinity, BMW, Mercedes and super sick Alfa Romeo Giulia with Ferrari 3.0T engine )

I've seen the B9 A5/S5 sportback/ and RS5. The B9 will launch in CY 2017 as a MY 2018.
The spy photos are spot on, just don't show all the details obviously. They all looked gorgeous but the RS5 was my least fav of the 3

Strange that the RS5 is the least favourite given that it is supposed to be designed to be the most appealing so that people fork over the extra dough.

The configurator for the 2017 A4 is up at audiusa.com. There is an interior picture there and to be honest I'm kind of underwelmed by it. I figure the interior of the new A5 is going to be very similar to the A4 styling.

They are forking over the dough for performance and exclusivity. The car didn't look bad, I just thought the A5 and sportback were gorgeous at initial sight, where as the RS5 didn't give me that feeling. This of course is all personal preference

Honestly, the virtual cockpit and the headlights are the only things I like about the B9 A4 after seeing it in the configurator. If you have the virtual cockpit option though, do you really need the Fischer Price screen in the center?

Hmmm that comment makes me think that they made the RS5 tacky since otherwise I am not sure how an A5 looks nice but not the RS5.

Screw the passengers, haha. They have a smart phone, so they can run Google Maps if they really need to know where they are.

Agree completely. I really don't like the way the R8 and TT have the gauge cluster as the only screen. Glad this didn't carry over to the 4 and 5.

Now if only they would make a sedan and I would be all over it! I loved my old 2007 RS4!!! A well respected salesman at my local dealership recently told me that there was a strong possibility of the RS4 & RS6 coming back to the USA. He didn't know if they would be sedans or Avants though.

(Of course it will all come down to Germany HQ, so fingers crossed)

Later this year is a scheduled launch of the "Audi Sport" sub brand in dealer showrooms. This is the initial phase of bringing more cars to the S/RS line up and includes small showroom upgrades

Some of these renderings may end up resembling the production model B9 coupe, but none of them have been confirmed by Audi yet. Based on what we have seen in the styling of the new B9 A4/S4, I am pretty sure I will be buy a B9 RS5 when they are released. Even though we haven't seen the finalized design, I highly doubt Audi will disappoint. I just love the Audi coupes.

A Canadian dealer told me that Audi wants to expand all of there dealerships so that they have "S" Showroom that only has things like S3/S3/S5/S6/S8 and various RS Models, and then want to have the "A" models and SUVS in a separate show room.

sort of like how Mercedes has a separate AMG building and sometimes BMW with a separate M building.

If they do go down this route, they will need alot more RS cars to fill the showroom he said!

Its being unveiled in Ingolstadt May 25 I believe. My dealer said the B8.5 will be MY17 so new one is MY 18 I guess.
